Founded by James King and James Drury, King & Drury has built a reputation for successfully delivering high-end refurbishments, renovations and new build properties.
The Firm’s founders first met whilst studying Construction Management at Southampton University. After graduating, both accepted positions at a national house builder, with King taking a role in Construction Management and Drury becoming a Quantity Surveyor.
After building properties en masse for a number of years, the pair made the transition into more niche projects. King started to develop his own new build properties, as well as being commissioned to carry out extensions and renovations, including listed building restoration work. Drury meanwhile honed his skills in a small executive firm of house builders, progressing from Quantity Surveyor to Commercial Manager, overseeing the appointment of suppliers, sub-contractors and technical consultants.
After years developing their experience and reputations separately, their shared passion for building brought the pair together again and they founded King & Drury. Since establishing the Firm, they have built a body of work ranging from the restoration of listed buildings to contemporary projects, and gained a long list of happy clients – both domestic and commercial.

Like the Firm's founders, Elliot studied Construction Management at Southampton University. Since graduating, Elliot has worked as a Commercial Site Manager, responsible for the construction of large-scale builds - including supermarkets and MOD buildings.
Through his many years as a Brickwork Contractor, Neville has gained experience in all building types - from mass house construction to bespoke, listed building works. As well as his Site Manager responsibilities, Neville puts his brick and groundwork knowledge to good use in directing our brickwork gangs to maintain consistency across all jobs.
A Bricklayer by trade, Anthony quickly worked his way up to become a Brick and Groundworks Foreman for a prestigious house-building firm. Over the years, his vast experience has shaped him into a Site Manager who - in his own words - is "obsessed with the detail". This dedication can be seen in all his work.
Although Dave is an accomplished Site Manager who has built many prestigious homes across Dorset, Sussex and Hampshire, his real passion is carpentry. He first realised his potential when he won the national award for Joinery Apprentice of the Year. Today, he puts his talent to use as Carpentry Foreman for King & Drury.
With a wealth of carpentry experience, Glenn has overseen large-scale MOD work, school refurbishments and house building projects. He now uses his specialist knowledge in refurbishments and restoration work to help King & Drury program and schedule carpentry. His previous role as Customer Care Operative for a national building firm has also provided King & Drury with the facilities to organise any customer care works.
Having previously worked with James King for a national house builder, Sean joined forces with his former colleague once more to become Assistant Foreman at King & Drury. Having previously worked as a Plant Operative and Site Co-ordinator, Sean has great experience in all forms of plant operation. He can turn his hand to carpentry, structural steel work and groundwork, and has proven invaluable in regularly assisting the trades on site.
Jerome joined King & Drury to support the construction of Russet House, assuming the role of Assistant Manager. Prior to this, he worked as a finishing carpenter for a yacht building company.
