The brief

King and Drury where commissioned through a formal tender process to construct an architectural home with serious design flare. Randel Design Group had designed a renovation scheme that later turned into a new build so that the clients could capitalise on the VAT saving. Special consideration had to be made for material storage and deliveries due to the tight site.

The work

This home is truly bespoke! A steel frame was used to gain large open spans to create the open plan living area. Floors, walls and even the kitchen were constructed from poured concrete. The external fa├žade consists of painted timber and zinc cladding. Black aluminium windows and Corten balustrades were used to set this home apart from all others.

The result

We had a lot of fun building this house! Andy Steadman Landscape and Garden Design were brought in to help design and construct the external landscape. Many details on this house resulted in a challenge for both Architect and Contractor but the end result is something we are all proud to be part of.
